Avondale, which is in Maricopa County in Arizona is not a huge city. It has a population of seventy thousand people. However, there are many things to do within this town. If you're into racing, they have the Phoenix International Raceway. At this raceway they hold the Bashas' Supermarkets, the Checker Auto Parts, and the Subway Fresh 500 races. These races are all largely popular and bring in a lot of the tourism to Avondale. Besides the racing angle, there have been many popular people that have resided in Avondale. This includes, Randall McDaniel, who was a great NFL player. He went to Agua Fria High School located in Avondale. Also a football player and resident of Avondale is, Drisan James, a very good wide receiver. For those not interested in the sports angle, they have places for crafts and arts. The Cotton Fields Quilt and Knit is a great place to stop by and just take a look if not for anything else. As you're leaving the quilting place, why not stop at the Avondale Community Center? It's a great place to take the kids or just to stop by yourself. It is the communities recreation center. It is where they hold the christmas pageants as well as a place to keep the kids off the streets after school. This is a great place to visit, or even to move to. It has recently gone green and it has many valuable people living in the community. There is even a waterfront that you can take a luxuriant walk along. Beautiful in its own right, Avondale is one great place where the community really is family.
